They called the Mote Marine Laboratory &amp; Aquarium&#8217;s stranding hotline and held the turtle until our team arrived. Hookee was brought to the Sea Turtle Hospital for hook removal and rehabilitation. The hook was not easily removable so Hookee will need to have a surgical procedure to remove it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>06\/22\/2020<\/strong> Hookee was sedated and had the hook removed from the esophagus.
