She manages the Sarasota Bay Listening Network (SBLN), a collaborative passive acoustic monitoring program bringing together institutions of higher education, industry, and citizen scientists, and is also an external collaborator with Shark Bay Dolphin Research. She is broadly interested in the behavioral responses of bottlenose dolphins to natural and anthropogenic disturbances. Her work with the SBLN team uses bottlenose dolphins as a model species to develop passive acoustic monitoring tools for population assessment and behavioral observation.
