They participate in red tide mitigation experiments, monthly monitoring of Sarasota Bay water quality, and other environmental projects under NELAC standards. They primarily run analyses for particulate nitrogen\/particulate carbon utilizing a FLASH series Elemental Analyzer, color and chromophoric disolved organic matter (CDOM) using UV-VIS Spectrophotometry, conductivity, and chlorophyll by fluorimetry.
