Amber Smalley is the Marketing and Public Relations Manager at Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium. In this role she leads Mote’s communications strategy, overseeing media relations, social media, and marketing efforts. Her focus is on sharing Mote’s mission and impact by promoting world-class marine research, STEM education program, conservation initiatives and community engagement.

\nAfter earning her Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Science, Amber joined the Mote family bringing a unique combination of environmental knowledge and communication expertise. She served six years in the U.S. Navy as a mass communication specialist, building a strong foundation in media production, public affairs and strategic outreach.
